Listing policy

How listings are created

Listings come from properly licensed data, public datasets, direct submissions, and owner claims. Each field records whether it was imported, owner-supplied, staff-verified, or user-submitted.

Claiming and verification

Owners can claim a listing and verify through a permitted method. A successful payment never by itself grants a “verified” badge — ownership verification and paid status are distinct.

Corrections

Anyone can request a correction to a listing. Unclaimed listings are not deliberately crippled — consumers can still identify the business.

Ranking & sponsorship

Organic results consider distance, service match, data completeness, and legitimate quality signals. Sponsored placement is separate, clearly labeled, and limited.
