How we source shop data, produce cost and repair guidance, and label sponsored placement.
Shop data
Every shop record carries its source and status. We build coverage from properly licensed business data, public datasets, direct shop submissions, and owner-claimed profiles — and we don’t treat data from a location API as something we can copy and republish forever. We show no listing rather than an unverified one.
Cost & repair guidance
Cost ranges are general planning figures based on widely-reported automotive repair knowledge, presented as ranges with the factors that move them — not live pricing and not quotes. Repair guidance reflects standard interior-repair practice.
Ratings
New or unrated businesses never appear with a default star rating. When we display any rating, we store and attribute its source separately from any first-party rating and show it only where permitted.
Sponsored placement
Featured listings are clearly labeled, limited to defined inventory, and never allowed to silently displace genuine organic relevance.
